1 Nov 2007 - NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents,
Would you like to take a greater part in how our school runs?
We already have parents represented on our Governing Body who are involved with the nitty gritty of running Holly Spring Junior School. They monitor our practices and finances and help with forward planning.
There are decisions however that would benefit from wider consultation.
Reports for instance? how useful do you find them? Is there a better way to inform you about your child's progress?
School dinner - Do you have any feedback for us to pass on to the caterers?
After school clubs - are you happy with the range of clubs?
The school curriculum - do you know what we are teaching your child? What more do you want to know? Would you like a curriculum newsletter?
Are there burning issues or do you have ideas that you wish you could discuss with us?
Do you have fundraising ideas that we could benefit from?
We are having a
Parents' Forum
On Monday 26th November 2007
at 7o'clock in the school hall
The main item on the agenda will be School Reports.
If you would like to be involved please complete and return the attached slip so we have an idea of how many will be attending.
LOST PROPERTY MOUNTAIN
Please please please help us!
If you clearly mark your child's name in their uniform we will know who to return it to. We regularly have a small mountain of clothing in Lost Property which is un-named.
BARN DANCE
This was a really good evening. Our thanks to those of you who supported this event. I'm sure that word has spread about how much fun was had by all. The caller was excellent and even helped novices like me feel that I could manage the complicated moves. The live band really added to the sense of occasion.
If you missed out this time then look out for other Barn Dances in future.
Our thanks to all PTA members for their hard work and dedication to raising money for our children. The Junior School have benefited from receiving almost £1,000 for new musical instruments this year which really will enhance our music lessons.
